The annual meeting of the DECHEMA/VDI Specialist Groups on Extraction, Mixing Processes, and Interfacial Systems and Processes took place on February 25 and 26, 2026, at the DECHEMA-Haus at Frankfurt. Through presentations covering the full range of topics addressed by the participating technical groups, the event demonstrated how these groups are making a significant contribution to current industrial trends.
In the plenary lecture titled “Investigation of the emulsification behavior of a montan wax/water model system in melt-emulsification” by Leah Ebner, recent results from applied and basic research in the field of interfacial processes were presented.
