Also in 2025 the International Conference on Particle Technology (PARTEC) taking place every three years at Nuremberg, was an excellent opportunity for networking, to explore trends in the field and, of course, also to present recent results from own research to the community. The Particle Technology Group of IPT contributed to this year’s PARTEC taking place from 23.-25. September 2025 several talks and posters spanning various topics.
Opportunities to make additive manufacturing more sustainable were addressed in the talk “Closed loop recycling approach of aged polyamide 12 powders for additive manufacturing via precipitation combined with solvolysis” by Jochen Schmidt. Moreover, he also presented a poster entitled “Investigations on the breakage of legumes”. The motivation behind this research is the optimum disintegration of legumes towards the production of (starch-lean) protein flours, which are exploited e.g. for the extrusion of meat analogues. Leah Ebner presented some results of our project within SPP 2364 in her talk entitled “Production of disperse systems by (melt-)emulsification”. Opportunities for the production of hetero-aggregates and their spatially resolved characterization by means of SEM-EDX, which is investigated within a joined project with Andreas Bück from OvGU Magdeburg in the framework of SPP 2289 were addressed in the poster contribution “Formation and characterization of nanostructured TiO2-ZrO2 hetero-aggregates in opposed jet fluidized beds” by Raul Favaro Nascimento.
We are looking forward to the next PARTEC in 2028!
